Tailwinds21D is one of the Flying Clubs located here at Lake Elmo, and many of its members are EAA Chapter 54 members. Along with our Flying Club mission of flying great planes inexpensively, our members also volunteer our planes and time to fly EAA’s Young Eagles, or plan/dream about building our own experimental aircraft. Our Piper Archer II is our entry level plane. With its 180 HP engine, 115kt cruise speed, and full glass cockpit, it is used for training, flying Young Eagles, or every day flying activities.
