1. Call meeting to order at: 7:04 pm

2. Members attending:  Marlon Gunderson, Jay Schrankler, Emma Hanson, Ed Trudeau, Scott Hanson, Bruce Olson, Bill Schanks 

1. Officer’s Reports

   1. President – Marlon Gunderson

      1. December 16 Member Meeting – Holiday Party, Service Awards, Kevin’s movie premier, Trivia Game, winner awards.

      2. MVP Shirt delivered late to Mr. Collins

      3. Round tables moved back to Pearsall hangar by Gregg Adler

      4. Submitted Chapter renewal to EAA HQ.  Regist & Insurance bill due.

      5. Renewed non-profit business registration w/MN Sec.of.State office.

      6. New business – Chapter logo stickers

   2. Vice President – Jay Schrankler

      1. January:  Scott Hanson - Foreflight review

      2. February: Bob Collins and Al Kupferschmidt - An evening with Al

      3. March: Jay Schrankler-Choosing the right Avionics for your mission

      4. April: TBD, possible Huey history

      5. May: Sebastien Heintz, CEO Zenith Aircraft

      6. June: Picnic BBQ and walking Hangar tour

      7. July: John Mohr-MInnesota Aviation Hall of Fame Member

      8. August: Post OSH recap, cookout

      3. Donation Report - will be completed by Fri (1/10/25) will be updated every week after that

   4. Secretary – Ed Trudeau

      1. December meeting minutes - reviewed, Motion marlon/Jay,Approved

      2. Members update: 104 Active, 5 Lapse letters, 3 pd since 1 Jan

      3. Remember we need to file activity insurance min 30 days out

   1. Facilities – Bob Collins.  (See report)

   2. Membership – Scott Hanson: no updates

   3. Young Eagles – Dale Seitzer 

   4. Flying Start – Evangelos Savvas

   5. Education – Jeff Dale

   6. Events – Bill Schanks: no fly-ins yet

   7. Ray Scholarship – Bruce Olson - two candidates pending, EAA decision Feb 2025

3. Old Business

   1. Tool Library admin to be developed by Bill Schanks.  Will send out a list of tools.  Acquired some large tools from Vickie Moore (Jim Pearsall Storing)

   2. 2025 Air Academy applicants

      1. Ellory Berniard – scholarship recipient, all set for summer 2025

      2. David Phernetton (Phyllis Jaworski) – accepted, invited by EAA to apply for ‘Campership’. Camperships to be announced in March by EAA
         We can consider helping with the balance.  Marlon requested a ‘Candidate Marlon/Background’.

      3. WoonYi Hanson – waitlisted for Air Academy, recommended co-applying for ‘Campership’, may consider MN ACE camp

   3. Holiday Tree of Hope – Emma delivered collected toys to ANE.

   4. Question Re: board member liability for potential disbandment, MAC lease

   5. Fundraising
      Shortfall of raised funds relative to scholarship interest
      We are getting unsolicited donations; suggests interest in support of what we do
      Potential for more income from marketing of our efforts to potential donors

      1. Development Director to drive this?

   6. EAA Ford Tri Motor event host April 3-6?
      Marlon followup w/EAA– St.Cloud was selected to host for 2025.  They’ll reach out to us for 2026. 

   7. BC:  More frequent member events?  E.g. monthly Fly In, perhaps brunch/lunch on YE days? Board to consider options for future meeting consideration, Plans for coming year.

   8. Need for standard chapter scholarship information/solicitation and candidate selection process.  (Ray and Air Academy)

   9. Creation of search plan for officer nominees? (BC)

   10. Jim Anderson has 800 book collection, Bill will investigate.

4. New Business

   1. Chapter logo stickers.  Dan Bathke inquired about need or desire for logos because he knows a guy…  Got a quote:    $100 for 100, $150 for 200, $270 for 500

   2. Air Venture Camping: Bill Schanks will organize, March 1st opens
