Advice for flying in | Volunteer at the fly-in | Planning information for chapter members
Thank you to these outstanding local businesses for helping us with this year's fundraiser.
What could be better than a stack of pancakes, scrambled, eggs and sausage and all the airplanes your eyes can take in?
Join EAA Chapter 54 at Lake Elmo Airport on Sunday morning August 10, 2025 from 8 am until noon for the annual Pancake Fly-in.
Whether you're driving in or flying, we're ready to greet you with a hearty breakfast and plenty of aviation talk.
After breakfast, tour the flight line and get a close up look at the visiting aircraft and talk to their pilots.
If you're driving, but would like to fly into an airport for a pancake breakfast someday, stop at the Lake Elmo Aero booth and learn what's involved in learning to fly.
The event is Chapter 54's only event to raise money to provide scholarships for young people in our community to attend the EAA Air Academy in Oshkosh, Wis. We also fund programs to give young people their first flights in airplanes, and our Ray Scholarship fully funds flight training for a selected individual.
Past scholarship recipients as well as our Young Eagles coordinator will be on hand to discuss their experiences and help you see your community from above.
Maybe you've even thought about building your own airplane. We'll have several homebuilt (i.e. "experimental") aircraft on display and builders will be happy to answer your questions.
Your neighbors will be there. Why not renew acquaintances and make some new friends, too!
But it all starts with a good breakfast. Adults: $10; Children 6-12: $5. Kids 5 and under eat free. Pilots who fly in eat free too!

Come visit the treasure that is Lake Elmo Airport on Sunday August 10.
