The Tree Top Flyer May Meeting was a social gathering and BBQ with sixty-five+ members and guests and seventeen planes at Buckeye Farms, home of Dave and Tammy Gardner, in Williston SC. Planes started arriving before 11:00 and those driving in were there soon after.
It was a marvelous day weather-wise and allowed for plenty of time for people to meet and catch up inside their hangar or outdoors watching aircraft arriving and departing after lunch.
Many thanks to the grillers, Roger Kohls, Larry Philbin and Stan Lawrimore who cooked more than 100 hamburgers and hotdogs for everyone to enjoy. In addition, there was a buffet table full of dishes including condiments, vegetables, salads, and desserts. Homemade goodies galore and even fresh picked yellow squash was available to all to take home. To everyone who helped set up for our luncheon and brought food, drinks and ice to share, thank you for your tremendous support.
This was such a fun-filled day, and we sure appreciate Dave and Tammy hosting our event and welcoming us to their home, hangar and farm.
The TTF June meeting details and menu will be sent at a later date to all members in a separate e-mail and our food theme for next month will be an “Italian Feast”. Hope you can join us!
