EAA Chapter 245 held a Succesfull Young Eagles Rally on 23rd May, 2026.
The next rally will happen later in 2026. Stay tuned for an announcement.
Founded in 1992, the Young Eagles program is dedicated to giving youth ages 8–17, an opportunity to go flying in a general aviation airplane. These flights are offered free of charge and are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers. It’s the only program of its kind, with the sole mission to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation. Today, the Young Eagles program has flown over 2 million kids.
Pilots are always looking for reasons to fly and many of them just like to share their fun, so on this special day, your kids are the reason to fly. This event is fully insured, and our pilots undergo a full briefing before the day begins. You can expect your kids to be in the air for around twenty minutes and many kids get to take control in the dual controlled aircraft. Please note that registration is limited.
Should your child have specific needs in respect of a disability, please let us know at the time of registration. EAA 245 will work to accommodate those needs in a manner consistent with aircraft operational and flight safety considerations. While we cannot guarantee that we will be able to get your child up for a flight, please know we will make every reasonable effort to do so.
As the Chapter does not accept remuneration, our time and costs are provided for free for this event, we ask the following. With the rising food costs many families are in need of some additional support, we are asking this year that families whose children are participating please think about providing a donation to the local food bank. Donations can be brought on the day of the event.
Please note that this event does not have a rain date. If the event is cancelled due to inclement weather or other unforeseeable event, attempts will be made to reschedule for September.
Registration opens on the morning of May 7, 2026
