21st – Chapter Gathering 6:30pm – Speaker, Tony Marshall, presenting on his transformation from a person with no interest in the military to a gung-ho fighter pilot and include tales from his time as a Prisoner of War. *

February

15th – Young Eagles & Pancake Breakfast: Volunteer call time 7am; Start time 8am
18th – Chapter Gathering 6:30pm– Speakers, Bob Marks & Sally Kloman, ATCs, presenting on basic aviation weather. * 
 
March
1st – Volunteer Day - Spring cleaning (Hangar 17): Start time 7am
6th – Board Meeting 6:30pm
13th – IMC VMC via Zoom 6:30pm *
15th – Young Eagles (PRIVATE EVENT) & Pancake Breakfast (open to the public): Volunteer call time 7am; Start time 8am
15th – Skills Building Series: Resume Building & Cash Handling for teens ages 14-19  (immediately following Young Eagles) from approximately 10:30am-12:00pm. This is a free event.*     
    Where: Stits Hangar 16A 
    Lunch is provided to attendees - Registration required – Register is full
18th – Chapter Gathering 6:30pm – Speaker, Jim Spee, presenting on updating a 1945 Aeronca 7AC Champion to live in modern airspace. * 
22nd – Citabria kick off (Hangar 17): Start time 1pm
 
April 
April volunteer signups are available via https://signup.com/go/WLxGWyZ We only need a limited supply of volunteers per event. Signups are on a 1st come 1st serve basis.
3rd – Board Meeting 6:30pm

10th – IMC VMC via Zoom 6:30pm *
15th – Chapter Gathering 6:30pm – Speaker, Nicholas Nemirsky, presenting on what you can do with an engineering degree/STEM degree in industry. He will also share tips to help the youth in your life to get engaged early and to prepare for success in their future careers, whether in engineering or other STEM/Pilot fields. Nicholas will also discuss his rich glider experience. *
19th – Young Eagles (No Pancake Breakfast this day): Volunteer call time 7:30am; Start time 8am. This event will be held at Riverside Airport to assist the new Chapter 1712 with their 1st Young Eagles event. Chapter 1 is sending a group of volunteers to assist that day. There will be no activity on bahalf of the Chapter at Flabob this day. 
19th – No build project 
26th – Pancake Breakfast at Flabob’s 100th Birthday Celebration
26th – No build project

Chapter Aircraft build project meets every Saturday (1p-5p) in Hangar 17, unless shown otherwise on our calendar.Participants must be Chapter members and have a build waiver on file.

Display Days are every 3rd Saturday of each month from 8a-12p : If we (Ch. 1) are not at the Shady Grove (in front of the Clubhouse), sign offs can be received at the Redbarn (by the fuel pump) from 8am-12pm on the 3rd Saturday. 

 
MINOR VOLUNTEER PERMISSION SLIP: All minor volunteers and minor activity attendees MUST have a permission slip on file at all times. Kindly print the attached waiver and have your parent’s sign it then return it to us. You can email it or hand delivery it to us at the next event. If we do not have a waiver, you will not be able to volunteer. The permission slips are good for 3 years! This does NOT take the place of our Young Eagles waiver. We included a cheat sheet of the responses for the waiver. ALL sections must be filled out.
