EAA Chapter 1 is the first local chapter of the EAA organization located at the Flabob Airport.
In 1952, Ray Stits requested that EAA permit local chapters to be formed. This permission required the changing of the EAA Bylaws to permit local chapters. In December, 1953, this permission was granted. EAA Chapter 1 officially became a Chapter on January 24, 1954. The first organizational meeting of Chapter One was in January 1954.
