Want to continue learning about aviation? See the resources below to help you get started. And visit us at the EAA Chapter 54 clubhouse, which is open most Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to about 11:00 a.m. Stop by, say "hello", and ask us any questions about general aviation and how you can fly.

As a Young Eagle, you may sign up for a free EAA student membership specifically for kids. Inside your Young Eagles Logbook, you will find a personal code to sign up for the membership.

Your membership includes:

  • FREE access to Sporty's Learn to Fly Course ($199 value – recommended for ages 13 and up)
  • FREE access to EAA Virtual Flight Academy – Stage One: Fundamentals of Flight ($29.95 value)
  • Free first flight lesson* ($130 value). *Upon completion of first three volumes of Sporty’s Learn to Fly Course, must be 13-19 years old.EAA will also reimburse when you pass your FAA written private pilot exam ($165 value).

Sodbusters Radio Control Aircraft Club

Active club partnering with EAA Chapter 54 on youth aviation education through “Fly and Build” activities.  Local member club of AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics).  Broad learning through opportunities to fly a variety of gas engine, electric powered and glider type radio control airplanes. EAA Air Academy- (Summer Camp – ages 12-18)
