Membership Categories
(a) Regular Membership
Regular membership consists of one qualifying individual.
(b) Family Membership
Family Membership consists of immediate household family members, including spouses or domestic partners and dependent children up to eighteen (18) years of age residing in the same household.
Each adult family member who:
- Is at least eighteen (18) years of age,
- Maintains current EAA membership, and
- Otherwise satisfies membership requirements
...is entitled to one vote. Voting rights attach to qualifying individual members, and not to the membership category itself.
(c) Honorary Membership
Honorary memberships may be granted by the Board in recognition of service, support, or contribution to the Chapter or aviation community. Honorary members may not vote or hold office unless otherwise independently eligible.
(d) Student Membership
Available for individuals under the age of twenty-five (25) who are actively engaged in academic, vocational, technical, apprenticeship, military, aviation, or other educational or training pursuits.
Student Membership shall be a non-voting membership category and shall not confer eligibility to hold elected office. Eligibility requirements and dues shall be established by the Board of Directors.
(e) Sponsor Membership
Sponsor Membership is available for individuals interested in participating in Chapter activities who do not maintain current EAA membership. Members may attend meetings, participate in Chapter activities, volunteer, and serve on committees subject to Board policies.
Sponsor Members may not:
- Vote or hold elected office
- Serve as directors of the corporation
- Exercise governance authority reserved to voting members under these bylaws
