Lets Track Les Wellington and his HUMMEL BIRD BUILD . Les completed his SONEX WAIEX in June of 2019 and got lots of great trips to the Star Duster Cafe. Once Les sold his Waiex it was time for the Hummel build. Les wanted to do a plans built plane so he wanted something fairly simple low cost and over 100mph cruise and build in his garage!. His Waiex kit only took about 2 years so he was up for a scratch built challenge.
