Welcome to EAA Chapter 75, the largest, oldest, and most active Quad Cities aviation chapter. Founded in 1959, the chapter's mission is to share the joy of aviation and advancing aviation education with pilots, builders, and enthusiasts alike.   

Chapter Announcements

• Chapter Gatherings: In addition to our monthly 1st Saturday Coffee & Donuts social event, our chapter will hold chapter gatherings every 4th Saturday from January through May and September through November at Jet Air, 9230 N. Harrison St., Davenport, IA 52806 from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM.   

• Chapter Potlucks: In the summer months, June through August, the chapter holds a potluck lunch at noon on the second Saturday of each month at a local airports or airstrips. In December, our chapter hosts a holiday potluck.
  
  
• IMC Club: The IMC Club will hold their next event on June 2nd from 6:00 PM to 7:15 PM at Jet Air, 9230 North Harrison Street in Davenport, Iowa. The Instrument Meteorological Conditions Club's (IMC) purpose is to promote instrument flying proficiency, and safety. Each month the IMC discusses a flight scenario in which everyone is encouraged to think about what they would do in various instrument situations. The discussions are interesting because everyone brings their own experiences and training. While the topic is typically instrument flying, we have a number of visual Flight Rule (VFR) pilots that participate as well. Are all welcome! Our goal is to make everyone a safer pilot.
  
  
• First Saturday Coffee & Donuts: On June 6th from 8:30-11:00 AM, we hope to see everyone at our 1st Saturday of the month coffee and donuts hosted by EAA Chapter 75 mentors, school advisors, and students who are involved in the Sonex-B student build. We are over the moon to have you all join us and see the tremendous progress we have made!
  
  • FLYING: Fly to the Davenport Municipal Airport. When taxiing, use Taxiway B to get to the old t-hangar and park on the taxiway or in the grass.
    
  • DRIVING: Prior to your takeoff and your arrival at the Davenport Municipal Airport (KDVN), arrangements with Paul Thronson can be made at 563-549-3577 for pickup. 
    
    
• Chapter Business Meeting: The Board of Directors will hold a business meeting at 4:30 PM on June 10th at Jet Air, 9230 North Harrison Street in Davenport, Iowa. We encourage all of the membership to attend.

• Chapter Potluck - June 13: The June 2026 potluck will be held on Saturday, June 13th from NOON to 2:00 PM. It will be hosted by Jim Smith and Ed Leahy at Smith's hangar (I-3) at the Davenport Municipal Airport (DVN/KDVN) in Davenport, Iowa. A lunch consisting of Bratwursts, Hotdogs, Sauerkraut, Boetje’s Mustard, Ice Cream, Pop, Coffee, and Water will be served at NOON; and as always, bring your favorite dish or dishes to share. Also, please bring a card table, plates, and utensils if you can. If you have any questions, please contact Jim Smith at 563-340-5131 or Ed Leahy at 563-275-8935.
