EAA Technical Counselors are experienced airplane builders, restorers, and mechanics who volunteer their time to help fellow members during the aircraft building and restoration process. Their goal is simple. To help builders make informed decisions early, avoid costly mistakes, and move toward a safer, higher-quality aircraft.

Builder Mentorship Matters

The Technical Counselor program exists to help builders present a “zero defect” aircraft at final FAA inspection. More importantly, it creates opportunities for builders to learn directly from experienced hands who understand the challenges, decisions, and details involved in aircraft construction and restoration.
