Hello Chapter Members

Our last chapter meeting at Ak-Chin turned out to be a great time. The weather was perfect, we saw a couple of interesting presentations, and best of all good food by Chef Rick!
The flyout/driveout meeting gives members a good excuse to get their airplane out of the hangar and go for a short flight. A lot of our members took advantage and flew into Ak-Chin for the meeting. We were hosted by Tim Costello, the airport manager. He allowed us to use his kitchen and lobby for our meeting. If you see Tim tell him thanks for his hospitality.

Our Young Eagles event last Saturday was a near record for us, with 11 pilots flying 25 kids. Thanks to all the volunteers and of course to LIsa Pham our Young Eagle coordinator. To be a Young Eagles volunteer make sure your Youth Protection training is up to date. Its easily. Just follow this link.

In November we will have an election for chapter officers and Board of Directors. Cecil Orozco will serve as our Nominating Committee Chairperson. If you can contribute to the chapter in a leadership role you can self nominate by letting Cecil know. If you want to nominate someone to an officer or Board of Director role you can nominate them by letting Cecil know via email. cecilorozco@hotmail.com We are fortunate candidates for all offices and BOD positions.

Our chapter has an active VMC/IMC club. The next meeting is November 4th. Here is a link to the club meeting details. I encourage you to attend a meeting.

Your chapter established a tool crib to loan tools for the benefit of the members. If you need to borrow a tool here is a link to the information.

Our November chapter meeting will be at the Still/EAA hangar R10 at the Chandler airport on November 15. Details in the next email update.
