Hello Chapter Members

The next chapter meeting will be this Saturday, September 20th. We will meet at the Chandler Airport terminal meeting room at 10am.

This will be an interesting meeting with presentations from some of our own members. You will hear what it's like to own and fly some very unique and high performance aircraft. We will also hear about the logistics of starting an aircraft build project and lots more. I hope you can attend, it will be a fun event.

In October we will plan to fly/drive out to Ak-Chin airport for our chapter meeting and BBQ there. More on that later.

Lisa Pham is planning the next Young Eagles event for October 25, 2025. She has a lot of kids signed up and not enough pilots. If you can fly on that day let Lisa know at her email address.

If you need to refresh your Youth Protection training this link will get you to the right spot.
The training only takes a few minutes and is good for 3 years.

General aviation airspace is already limited in Arizona and the military is now asking for more. The proposal will lower the floor on many MOA's and allow supersonic flight at lower altitudes than present. Click here to view the proposal. Comments will be accepted only until this Friday so please make your opinions known.

The FAA is proposing some GA aircraft operating at low altitude will be required to give way to drone flights. These drones could weigh over 1000 pounds and you could be responsible to see and avoid them. Do you have an opinion about that? We will cover some details at the chapter meeting on Saturday.

If you just haven't gotten around to paying this year's chapter dues, bring $20 to the next chapter meeting or click here for payment options.
