Your Chapter has been recognized as a "Gold Chapter" for the 2nd time. Chapter recognition from the EAA is based on chapter activities and we scored well in all areas. Thanks to all the members that contributed to the many chapter activities!

We will have an interesting chapter meeting this Saturday. The new CHD tower Manager, Bill Banakos will be briefing us on the latest in flight operations at Chandler airport. We will also hear from Ryan Reeves, airport manager regarding a major pavement improvement project that is scheduled to start in July. This project will have a significant impact on airport operations and Ryan will let us in on the latest information. The monthly chapter meeting will be on April 19th at the Chandler Airport Terminal meeting room at 10am. Pizza will be served after the meeting.

Our next Young Eagles event will be on Saturday April 26th at 7am. Lisa Pham, our YE coordinator will need pilots to fly the kids and volunteers to help with ground operations. Let Lisa know you can help by emailing her at lisa@azflygal.com.

We held our 3rd annual Flymart on April 5th. It was another great event and we raised over $800 for the chapter. The Flymart would not be possible without the generosity of Chandler Aviation. Chuck Hainz allowed us to use the Chandler Aviation hangar for the event. If you see Chuck please tell him thanks. He is a great friend of the chapter.

Candice has arranged for a tour of the Barry Goldwater Range. We had the tour cancelled last year so this year we have 2 dates available. Tour dates are 4-22-2025 and 5-1-2025. Click here for more information and to sign up for the tour.
