Welcome to our chapter

Greetings to the EAA 898 Members and Visitors!

Is Fall yet?  Some days this September it feels like it is; and some days it does not.  Based on the calendar, we reached meteorological Fall on September 1st.  However, astronomical Fall won't be until September 22nd.  Either way, we are looking forward to some cooler weather for good flying!

Our BBQ season wound up at the September meeting.  Hope everyone enjoyed all the delicious dishes everyone brought throughout the season, not the least of which was Bob's great BBQ pork and chicken!  And of course it wouldn't have been a BBQ without Betty's baked beans!  Thank you to everyone who made the season so much fun and tasty!

Our October meeting will be held in the Ocean County OEM Building just up the road.

The Builds are going well.  The Thatcher has been posted for sale in Barn Stormers and will hopefully be finished soon, allowing us to turn our full attention to the RV-10. And  waiting in the wings is the RV-14.  Also, Bob Newman promises more wind vane projects in the near future; we have two models being built: the trusty Cub and a Cessna 172.

We are looking forward to our next Young Eagles event on. September 13th (rain date September 14th.)

We are a group of aviation enthusiasts, aircraft builders, and pilots who get together with like minded people to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety, serve the local aviation community and have a lot of fun doing so. Please come to our next meeting or event as our guest.
