Welcome to our chapter

Greetings to the EAA 898 Members!

As the old joke says, Is it warm enough for you yet?"  This summer weather has been brutal on flying!  If it's not storming, it's over 90 degrees.  Hopefully the weather will settle out as we move through Summer and into Fall.

Our BBQs are in full swing with Bob cooking up a "storm" each month.  (It only looks that way with all delicious smelling smoke from the grill!).  And thanks to Hank for filling in when needed!

The Builds are going well, although the hot temperatures did shut us down for two weeks.  The Thatcher will hopefully be finished soon, allowing us to turn our full attention to the RV-10. And  waiting in the wings is the RV-14.  Also, Bob Newman promises more wind vane projects in the near future; we have two models being built: the trusty Cub and a Cessna 172.

We are looking forward to our next Young Eagles event on. September 13th (rain date September 14th.)

We are a group of aviation enthusiasts, aircraft builders, and pilots who get together with like minded people to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety, serve the local aviation community and have a lot of fun doing so. Please come to our next meeting or event as our guest.
