We have a new private pilot based at SPI! Ayden Miller passed his check-ride yesterday afternoon after several weather and mechanical delays. In fact, yesterday almost fell apart with another weather delay when he and DPE Denny Taft were just about to start up for the check-ride when tornado warning sirens went off! Fortunately, the nasty stuff stayed south and east of the airport long enough they were able to go out and complete the flying portion. Denny said he had never had that happen to him before! But Ayden's persistence finally paid off! Congratulations Ayden!
Thanks to our Ray Scholarship coordinator, Marty Towsley for his work dealing with all the paperwork between Oshkosh and the chapter and the Flying20 Club as we look forward to our 4th candidate, Kenny Spaniol, starting his lessons in the next few days!
