EAA Chapter 770 of Springfield, IL invites you to join us for our 4th Annual “Wings and Wheels” Fly-in & Car Show at Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport on Saturday, October 3, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
This fundraiser benefits our Aviation Scholarship Program. Over the past five years, we have awarded seven aviation scholarships, with every recipient successfully completing the program and earning their private pilot certification.
Event details include:
- Admission: Free for spectators and show cars (donations are gratefully accepted).
- Food & Drinks: Lunch packages (burger or pork riblet sandwich, sides, and a beverage) available for $15.
- Attractions: A wide display of show cars and unique aircraft on the tarmac, featuring a formation fly-in of Rutan-designed Long-EZ aircraft.
- Free admission to the Air Combat Museum
- LRS Hangar Automotive Museum: Open to the public to view one of the best automotive collections in central Illinois ($10 requested donation)
- Display of Blackhawk, Chinook and, Lakota Helicopters and a L39
- Rides for purchase in a Huey or Cobra Helicopter. Advanced ticket sales available
