EAA's Air Academy is a week-long youth summer camp held at EAA's home in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. There are several sessions of this aviation-themed camp held each summer. This summer camp is designed exclusively for young aviation enthusiasts aged 14-18.
The camp includes a variety of hands-on activities that teach young people about the world of aviation. Activities include aeromodeling, aircraft construction, airplane wing construction, airplanes, flight planning, flight simulators, ground school, maintenance skills, restoration skills and tech workshops.
EAA Chapter 75 provides scholarships for several kids to attend the EAA Air Academy. Candidates are chosen from applicants who show a strong interest in aviation.
