Each year, EAA Chapter 706 sponsors an area youth to attend the weeklong Air Academy summer camp in Oshkosh. Details about the camp, curriculum and dates can be found at EAA Air Academy. Our chapter sponsors one youth, ages 14-18, to the Discover Camp. For youth ages 14-15, the Discover Camp takes place from June 12-17, 2025. For ages 16-18, the Discover Camp takes place July 7-12, 2025.
The camper's family is responsible for covering $250 of the camp costs, while our chapter provides the remaining $1050 of the $1300 tuition..
These camps are very popular and fill quickly, so the selection process must take place in the fall of the prior year. Prospective campers for the 2025 summer camps may apply through October 31, 2024 by sending an email to eaachapter706@gmail.com which includes the following:
