Ray Scholarship

Through the generous support of the Ray Foundation, EAA provides up to $11,000 to deserving youths ages 16-19 for their flight training expenses, totaling nearly $1,800,000 in scholarships annually.

The program is supported by more than 100 EAA chapters, and supports close to 120 scholars annually.  

This scholarship is intended to support a student in earning their private pilot's license within one year of the scholarship award.  Covered costs include airplane rental, certified flight instructor time and testing fees.  The student is well supported by our EAA chapter in working towards this goal.

Our chapter has had a 100% success rate, with three successful Ray Scholars earning their private pilot certificates already!  Stay tuned for detail on how to become our 2025 Ray Scholar.
