Did you know that on 08/17/2024 EAA Chapter 631 flew its 11,000th Young Eagle? Jack Langland, the Chapter 631 Young Eagle Coordinator became involved with the program about a year after EAA implemented it. Jack has flown over 2000 Young Eagles himself!
Kids aged 8-17 are eligible for FREE Young Eagle Flights. They get a logbook, and there is no limit to the number of Young Eagle Flights they can take part in. As part of their logbook, they can take FREE online ground school through Sportys Pilot Shop! When they are ready, and take the FAA written knowledge test, the EAA will reimburse the cost of the written test ($175.00+-) because of their involvement in EAA!
