Young Eagles

Founded in 1992, the Young Eagles program is dedicated to giving youth ages 8–17, an opportunity to go flying in a general aviation airplane. These flights are offered free of charge and are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers.

It’s the only program of its kind, with the sole mission to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation.

Today, the Young Eagles program has flown over 2 million kids.

Our 2024 Young Eagles Flight Rally were scheduled for 9:00am to Noon on Sundays, April 21, May 19 and June 23.  May and June were cancelled due to weather. On April 21st 11 pilots flew 130 Young Eagles! On September 15th nine pilots took 101 kids aloft.

At our June 1, 2025 Young Eagles event 10 pilots took 105 kids aloft! We have now scheduled two Young Eagles events after Labor Day (weather permitting and hopefully no VIP flight restrictions) on Sunday, September 14 and Sunday, October 19.
