The EAA Chapter 175 main event on November 12, 2022 was an open house with cookout behind the CEC building and the chapter had our finished Aerolite 103 on display. We had several fly-in's and several guests showed up to our chapter educational center (CEC). Doors opened at 10:00am, Lunch was at noon, and the event ended at 2:00pm.
An Aerolite 103 Part 103 Ultralight Aircraft. The Aerolite 103 is an aircraft that is nonregulated and may be flown by anyone with or without a pilot’s license or medical. It weighs only 254 pounds when outfitted with a powerplant and takes off at 30 mph, cruises at 60 mph can take off in only 100-200 feet and can operate out of a field as short as 1000 feet comfortably. Although it sounds limiting, flying ultralights is not a step up or down, but a step into a completely different and exciting sector of the flying community.
This aircraft is completely assembled and ready for you to install either an electric motor or gas engine of your choice.
Here are photos of the event and of the Aerolite.
