EAA chapter 175 meeting on Saturday July 27th 2024 was held at Happy Hangar Café at Tampa North airfield and was a VMC Session (see links below in this email for more info).
The chapter meeting started at 9 am in the café's meeting room and the main program was on FAA Safety session (with WINGS credit available). This is a regular program run by the chapter, which uses scenarios and case studies as the basis for open discussion about aviation and safe and proficient piloting (the scenarios are chosen so that there's never just one possible answer). It’s also a good excuse to swap flying stories with each other!
With summer underway, it's time for us to become experts on weather! The July 27th session include a couple of case studies which will form the basis of discussion about cloud bases, cloud tops, how to determine the location of clouds and thunderstorms in an hour's time and other weather-related challenges to our planning and decision-making.
