Through the generous support of the Ray Foundation, EAA provides up to $10,000 to deserving youths for their flight training expenses, totaling nearly $1,200,000 in scholarships annually.
The program is supported by more than 100 EAA chapters, and supports close to 120 scholars.
Each year, our chapter supports one scholar, between the ages of 16 and 19, in the form funding and mentorship to help him or her earn their pilot certificate.
EAA Chapter 75 2019 Involvement
The Ray Scholarship was a new program this year that through the persistent efforts of Keith Williams and his writing capabilities, we were able to secure an EAA administrator’s $10,000 scholarship that has been administered through our club treasury. This scholarship was a complete success story. Our scholar, Nick Hayes, the recipient, was able to becoming a private pilot with the help of this program. More to follow as Keith is working to organize a second scholarship for another deserving young person.
