Welcome to EAA Chapter 75, the largest, oldest, and most active Quad Cities aviation chapter. Founded in 1959, the chapter's mission is to share the joy of aviation and advancing aviation education with pilots, builders, and enthusiasts alike.
Chapter Announcements
- Chapter Gatherings: In addition to our monthly 1st Saturday Coffee & Donuts social event, our chapter will hold chapter gatherings every 4th Saturday from January through May and September through November at Revv Aviation, 9230 N. Harrison St., Davenport, IA 52806 from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
- Chapter Potlucks: In the summer months, June through August, the chapter holds a potluck lunch at noon on the second Saturday of each month at a local airports or airstrips. In December, our chapter hosts a holiday potluck.
- First Saturday Coffee & Donuts: On November 2nd, 8:30-11:00 AM, we hope to see everyone at our 1st Saturday of the month coffee & donuts hosted by Flight Deck Aviation's place at the Clinton Municipal Airport. Please come for some good hangar talk.
- FLYING: Fly to the Clinton Municipal Airport’s terminal building. When taxiing, use Taxiway A to get to the terminal building. Parking will be right on the ramp next to the terminal building.
- DRIVING: We will be meeting at the corporate hangar that is attached to the Clinton Municipal Airport’s terminal building, located at 2000 S. 60th St., Clinton, IA 52732. Vehicles can park in the designated parking slots provided by the Clinton Municipal Airport. Call Jon Aytes, Owner of Flight Deck Aviation at 563-244-4770 if you get lost.
- IMC Club: The IMC Club will hold their next event on November 5th from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Revv Aviation, 9230 North Harrison Street in Davenport, Iowa. The Instrument Meteorological Conditions Club's (IMC) purpose is to promote instrument flying proficiency, and safety. Each month the IMC discusses a flight scenario in which everyone is encouraged to think about what they would do in various instrument situations. The discussions are interesting because everyone brings their own experiences and training. While the topic is typically instrument flying, we have a number of visual Flight Rule (VFR) pilots that participate as well. Are all welcome! Our goal is to make everyone a safer pilot.
- Chapter Business Meeting: The Board of Directors will hold a business meeting at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, November 13th at Revv Aviation, 9230 North Harrison Street in Davenport, Iowa. We encourage all of the membership to attend.
- Chapter Gathering - November 23: Craig Blumer, an air traffic controller at the Quad Cities International Airport (MLI/KLMI), a previous airship instructor and pilot, and a current certified flight instructor based in Milan, Illinois. Craig has been accredited as a Master Instructor. A number of ratings have been obtained by him, from ATP multi-engine to sport powered parachute. It was in 2012 that he achieved the gold seal with a combination of glider and airplane students. His certification as a Master CFI was earned in 2014, making him the first blimp pilot to receive this certification. Additionally, Craig is a FAASTeam Representative for Springfield FSDO, where he continues his education through online and in person briefings. In addition to offering tailwheel training, Craig sponsors the Jane Berg Tailwheel Scholarship. The scholarship provides one female pilot with the opportunity to acquire a tailwheel endorsement in his 1946 Piper J3C-65 Cub.
During his presentation at Revv Aviation, 9230 N. Harrison St., Davenport, IA 52806, Craig Blumer will share his interesting aviation career path, which includes working as an airline pilot, an air traffic controller, flight instructor, and a pilot for the MetLife Blimp also known as Snoopy. Doors open at 8:30 AM, followed by chapter elections at 9:15 AM, and a program at 9:30 AM.

The Chapter Annual Elections and Monthly Gathering will be held November 23rd at Revv Aviation, 9230 N. Harrison St., Davenport, Iowa 52806. The Chapter Annual Elections and Monthly Gathering will begin at 8:30 AM to socialize, have coffee, and a donut, with elections taking place at 9:15 AM, followed by a chapter program at 9:30 AM. Eligibility to Vote: Only Chapter Regular and Life Members (both in good standing with EAA) will be eligible to vote. If you vote for more than what is stated in the section, your ballot will be disqualified.
