Coffee & Donuts (Saturday, November 5, from 8:30-10:00 AM)
This is a great chance to visit with other Chapter members and meet new aviation enthusiasts. Feel free to invite a friend or neighbor to attend. Also, we will be drawing for the monthly raffle prize at 10:00 am, and there will be an opportunity to purchase more raffle tickets that morning.
Annual Chapter Business Meeting (November 21, 6:00 PM)
Our current Chapter President, Ed Lovrien, has indicated his desire to run for President in this Chapter election. To refresh your memory, Ed was appointed by our Board of Directors in March 2022 to serve as Chapter President after Steve Rossiter resigned early from that position. Ed has been formally nominated by the Board as the official nominee for the President position. The Board is also submitting the name of Cal Geyman as the official nominee for the Chapter Vice President position. However, nominations will be accepted at the Annual Meeting, if anyone else has interest in running for these two positions. If it turns out that Ed and Cal are running unopposed, we will vote by voice acclamation. If there are others running for these positions, we will vote by paper ballot.
As has been our tradition in the last several years, the Chapter will provide FREE pizza and beverages for anyone who wants to come at 6:00 pm to enjoy food and fellowship.
The official Annual Business Meeting will begin at 6:30 PM. According to rules set forth by EAA national, Chapter members eligible to vote in Chapter elections must be current members of both the Chapter and national. If you don't know if you are a current Chapter member, we will have a Chapter roster available at the meeting for you to check your status. Even if you are not eligible to vote in the election, you are welcome to attend the Annual Business Meeting.
The agenda for the Annual Business Meeting will be as follows: Call to Order; Approval of 2021 Meeting Minutes; Treasure's Report; Young Eagles Coordinator Report; Other Reports; President's State of the Chapter Report; Old Business; New Business; Adjournment. Immediately following the Annual Business Meeting, we will have a presentation by Missoula's new tower chief, Christel Terrell, who will be happy to answer any of your questions about tower operations and/or communicating with ATC.
