When: Saturday, May 3rd, 2025  Noon for lunch and visiting.
Where: 124 Bonanza Circle, Spicewood Airport 88R

Who: Everyone is welcome - Although EAA stands for Experimental Aircraft Association, it covers ALL aspects of aviation, not just experimental aircraft.  Therefore, please invite anyone you know who has expressed an interest in aviation to attend our meetings.  They need not be members to attend.

Lunch will be provided – this time we're having a shrimp and crawfish boil.
There will be alternatives for those who prefer something else.

You will have the opportunity to mingle with your fellow aviation enthusiasts.

What to bring:

- Folding chair

- A dessert to accompany the barbecue that we'll be providing.  Or, toss a few bucks in the donation jar.

Presentation for this meeting:  Mr. Rick Winter of the Academy of Model Aeronautics will speak about simulation of remote piloted aircraft aka drones.

This meeting will mark our return to monthly meetings occurring on the first Saturday of each month.

For the future, we will be looking at providing fun aviation-related activities such as Young Eagles introduction to flying, fly-outs to other locations of interest, and building your own aircraft.

Other topics will include volunteering for various chapter-related functions related to maintaining and reinvigorating our chapter.

In order to have an accurate count of attendees so that we can provide enough barbecue, we ask that you please RSVP to me at:

We look forward to seeing you there!

Blue skies!

Note regarding parking:  When you come in to the airport you will be on an active taxiway, so be sure to yield to any aircraft.  If this is the case, pull off the taxiway next to a hanger if need be and be sure your vehicle is between the yellow line painted on the pavement and the hangar itself.  This provides clearance for the wing of the taxiing aircraft.

Depending on attendance, we may have parking attendants to assist you and possibly provide shuttle service from a designated parking area.  Also, use caution when entering the airport gate from county road 414 - traffic coming from the east does not stop!

If you know someone who would like to be on our roster, or if you would prefer to not receive these notifications, please let me know!
