UPDATE: We are expecting representatives of the Academy of Aeronautics to attend and talk about their organization and their association with EAA's Build and Fly program.
We hope to have a visit from people representing the Burnet County Sheriff's Department's drone operations, depending on weather and/or their duty circumstances.

Who: Everyone is welcome - Although EAA stands for Experimental AircraftAssociation, it covers ALL aspects of aviation, not just experiental aircraft. Therefore, please invite anyone you know who has expressed an interest in aviation to attend our meetings. They need not be members to attend.
This meeting will include a barbecue lunch from the acclaimed pitmaster, our own president Bill Benker. Brisket, port, chicken and side dishes will be provided.
You will have the opportunity to mingle with your fellow aviation enthusiasts.
What to bring:
- Folding chair
- A dessert to accompany the barbecue that we'll be providing. Or, toss a few bucks in the donation jar.
Presentation for this meeting: "Breathing new life into an old friend" - Refurbishment of a 1964 Piper Cherokee from beginning to end, including new interior, panel, and paint, done right here at Spicewood Airport.
This meeting will mark our return to monthly meetings occurring on the first Saturday of each month.
For the future, we will be looking at providing fun aviation-related activities such as Young Eagles introduction to flying, fly-outs to other locations of interest, and building your own aircraft.
Other topics will include volunteering for various chapter-related functions related to maintaining and reinvigorating our chapter.

Note regarding parking: When you come in to the airport you will be on an active taxiway, so be sure to yield to any aircraft. If this is the case, pull off the taxiway next to a hanger if need be and be sure your vehicle is between the yellow line painted on the pavement and the hangar itself. This provides clearance for the wing of the taxiing aircraft.
Depending on attendance, we may have parking attendants to assist you and possibly provide shuttle service from a designated parking area. Also, use caution when entering the airport gate from county road 414 - traffic coming from the east does not stop!
