Our first Young Eagles rally was such a great success that we are going to do it again!

For this month's chapter meeting, we'll be rounding up volunteers for the next rally, which will take place on October 17th at the same place as the first rally - Burnet Municipal AIrport.  The Highland Lakes Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force is once again providing the venue.  We need volunteers both as pilots and ground crew, so be ready to step up and make this another good one.

As always, everyone is welcome to our chapter meetings -- Although EAA stands for Experimental Aircraft Association, it covers ALL aspects of aviation, not just experimental aircraft.  Therefore, please invite anyone you know who has expressed an interest in aviation to attend our meetings.  They need not be members to attend and we want to expand our membership.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Note regarding parking:  When you come in to the airport you will be on an active taxiway, so be sure to yield to any aircraft.  If this is the case, pull off the taxiway next to a hangar if need be and be sure your vehicle is between the yellow line painted on the pavement and the hangar itself.  This provides clearance for the wing of the taxiing aircraft.

Also, use caution when entering the airport gate from county road 414 – traffic coming from the east does not stop!

If you know someone who would like to be on our roster, or if you would prefer to not receive these notifications, please let me know!
