Greetings Aviators, Builders and Friends!

What:  EAA Chapter 1623 Regular Meeting

When: Saturday, September 12th, 2026 at noon for lunch and visiting.

I'm sending this out early to let everyone know that our next scheduled EAA meeting would ordinarily fall on the first Saturday of the month , but because that is Labor Day weekend we will instead defer it to the next Saturday, September 12th.

I will send out another notice with the details for that meeting earlier that week.

Steve Shaddox,, Secretary

EAA Chapter 1623

Where: 124 Bonanza Circle, Spicewood, TX. 78669

Lunch will be provided -Come hungry!

As always, lunch will be provided so bring your appetite, along with
        - Folding chair
        - A dessert or side dish to accompany the food that we'll be providing.
Alternatively, we're happy to accept donations to help keep that tasty food coming.

Presentation for this meeting:  Continuing a theme from last year, we'll be talking about some more of the stranger aircraft that have ever been created.

Everyone is welcome - As we've said before, although EAA stands for Experimental Aircraft Association, it covers ALL aspects of aviation, not just experimental aircraft.  Therefore, please invite anyone you know who has expressed an interest in aviation to attend our meetings.  They need not be members to attend.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Fair winds!

Note regarding parking:  When you come in to the airport you will be on an active taxiway, so be sure to yield to any aircraft.  If this is the case, pull off the taxiway next to a hangar if need be and be sure your vehicle is between the yellow line painted on the pavement and the hangar itself.  This provides clearance for the wing of the taxiing aircraft.

Also, use caution when entering the airport gate from county road 414 – traffic coming from the east does not stop!

If you know someone who would like to be on our roster, or if you would prefer to not receive these notifications, please let me know!
