Aviators of the Purple Sage
EAA Chapter 1623 + 88R + Established 2018

Greetings Aviators, Builders and Friends!

What:  EAA Chapter 1623 Regular Meeting
When: Saturday, November 1st, 2025  Noon for lunch and visiting.
Where: 124 Bonanza Circle, Spicewood, Tx. 78669

We did it! Our Young Eagles rally on October 11th was a milestone event for this

EAA chapter. Therefore, we will be celebrating our very first rally, and

conducting a debriefing. This will help us to build on what was a well-run

event – we will identify the things that went smoothly and will look for ways

to improve to prepare us for the next rally.

Most importantly, we’ll be giving a big “Thanks!” to the volunteers

without whom this would not have happened.

Lunch will be provided – Burgers and dogs provided by our Master Chef Bill.

What to bring: - Folding chair

                            -  A dessert or side dish to accompany the food  that we'll be providing..  Alternatively, we're happy to accept donations to help keep the tasty food coming.

Also, if you have any photos of the event you’d like to share, please

forward them to me.

As always, everyone is welcome to our chapter meetins –

Although EAA stands for the Experimental Aircraft Association,

it covers ALL aspects of aviation, not just experimental aircraft.

Therefore, please invite anyone you know who has expressed

an interest in aviation to attend our meetings.  They need not be

members to attend, and we want to expand our membership.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Secretary, Chapter 1623

Note regarding parking:  When you come in to the airport you will be on an active taxiway, so be sure to yield to any aircraft.  If this is the case, pull off the taxiway next to a hangar if need be and be sure your vehicle is between the yellow line painted on the pavement and the hangar itself.  This provides clearance for the wing of the taxiing aircraft.

Also, use caution when entering the airport gate from county road 414 – traffic coming from the east does not stop!

If you know someone who would like to be on our roster, or if you would prefer to not receive these notifications, please let me know!
