Aidan Olson was awarded the 2024 Ray Aviation Scholarship. Aidan has been active in the Young Eagle Program and is a member of EAA and EAA Chapter 631. In 2023, he was awarded a scholarship to the US Air Force Aim High Flight Academy. He spent most of June in Mesa AZ in flight training and being mentored by the USAF. His CFI is Dave Nielsen. On 12/07/2024, Aidan passed his check ride and became a Private Pilot.
He has been accepted to UM Duluth and plans to join ROTC and upon graduation, the US Air Force.
Mya Gardner has been awarded the 2024 Ray Aviation Scholarship. Mya is a member of the EAA and local Chapter 631. Mya is a Junior at the Cumberland High school and she is working toward her goal of becoming a commercial pilot, with the intent to attend flight school following her high school graduation. Her CFI is Dave Nielsen in Shell Lake, WI. Mya completed her 1st solo on February 18, 2025!
