Bill Mavencamp - 60 years of Flying Adventures
Owner/President - St. Cloud Aviation

Bill completed his first solo on December 31st, 1964 in a
J-3 Cub on skis. He enlisted in the US Army as an aircraft mechanic in June of 1966. He started flight instructing in the Fall of 1969 at Fort Riley, Kansas. In January 1982, Bill and his wife Bonnie, started a flight school and charter company called Wright Aero Inc. In 1988 Bill, along with Bob Shadduck acquired St Cloud Aviation. He was also awarded "Flight Instructor of the Year" by the FAA the same year. Currently, Bill has over 36,000 flight hours.

EAA 551 YOUNG EAGLES FLIGHT SIMULATOR

 EAA

EAA Chapter 551 has assembled a new flight simulator for
Young Eagle Events and member use.

It runs the newest very excellent X-Plane 12 with three monitors,
yoke, throttle quadrant, joystick, and instructor station.

The simulator is available to all EAA 551 current members (dues paid) in the Aero Club Hangar at KSTC.
