December 2023 Newsletter
Thanks to Jennifer for taking meeting notes.
Our November meeting was held at the Massena airline terminal building waiting room. A place to sit, warm and quiet for our meeting. Our thanks go to the town of Massena and the airport crew for allowing our use of the facility.
The treasury balance is $1,978.46
Attending were Jeff & Jenn, James Tiernan, Jim Parks, John, and Rich. We spent some time hangar flying and sharing stories about our histories in civilian and military aviation.
Jim Parks supplied a thumb drive of past Young Eagles participants. Putting these up on our web page is a computer project for a slow cold snowy Winter day and something to look forward to for January and February
John had some Sea Stories to tell about his career as Flight Crew in the Coast Guard.
Some stories were told about experimental flights that we attempted as kids using cardboard boxes, sliding boards, and bicycles. Please share your stories for the next newsletter.
All very interesting to hear and appreciated by the members. It's always enjoyable to learn how our shared love of aviation began with others, and how it has impacted their lives and those around them.
It looks like we will be having about 8 for dinner at the Lobster House next Tuesday evening December 12. Cocktails at the bar around 6 and -dinner at 7. We will be ordering individually from the menu so if your plans change and you will be able to attend, come join us for this last dinner and meeting for 2023!
Our survey indicated that members would prefer to not meet over the winter and pick up on the Spring. We spoke about and will try to get together with other EAA members, pilots, or airplane owners in our area to grow our membership in 2024.
It's time for election of Chapter officers so if you are willing to serve our Chapter in any capacity, let your wishes be known. We do need to have someone serve as Chapter Secretary now that we have lost Earl. Any interest in President, Vice President, or Treasurer should be made known and we can vote at this dinner meeting.
Meeting was adjourned at 9 PM.
See you all at The Lobster House next Tuesday December 12th beginning at 6 PM !

Best wishes for a wonderful and safe Holiday!
