Established in 1953, the Experimental Aircraft Association is an international and diverse organization of members with a wide range of aviation interests and backgrounds. The EAA mission is to grow participation in aviation by promoting the “Spirit of Aviation.”
Each school year, there are two scholarships available from Chapter 135, each for $1000. The scholarships will be awarded to applicants that meet the scholarship guidelines and demonstrate their commitment to a career in an aviation related program. A scholarship may be awarded to any individual who will attend a college, junior college, university, vocational, trade or technical school, or other training program as deemed appropriate by EAA Chapter 135. A scholarship may be awarded to a student who exhibits and can demonstrate their sincere desire to continue their education and career in a field of study related to aviation. Some examples of fields of study are the following: Aviation Maintenance, Aviation Electronics Technician, Avionics Technician, Aviation Pilot Training, Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, Aviation & Airport Management.
