The Fisher Flying Products Celebrity is a tandem two-seat fabric covered biplane which has an entirely wood air frame – fuselage, wings, and tail section. The earliest Celebrity kits were available with metal fuselages but as the company has changed hands through the years only the wood version is currently available, though there are some prints around for the metal fuselage and if you watch the For Sale ads, from time to time kits with these become available.
This project will be powered by the Rotec R2800, 110 hp, 7-cylinder radial engine exposed in front of a metal boot cowl. Along with the engine, the all-wood interior of the fuselage, minimal communications and basic instrumentation in the cockpit (no in-cockpit video game panel for this craft) should give the finished project a real ‘old-school’ look.
