Let's Help You Get Started In Aviation
Our chapter can help you get started in aviation. Whether you are a new student or continuing the work you started on your license a long time ago or just want to get current again.
Three ways to get started:
1 - Young Eagles- Free plane rides for kids 8-17
Our EAA Chapter is sponsoring free flights for kids ages 8-17*
Saturday, July 15th 10am-2:30pm EDT
Launched in 1992, the Young Eagles program has dedicated 30 years to giving youth ages 8–17 their first free ride in an airplane.
It’s the only program of its kind, with the sole mission to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation.
Today, over 2.3 million young people have enjoyed a free introductory flight through the Young Eagles program. These flights are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers.
Join us in offering youth ages 8-17 the opportunity to experience The Spirit of Aviation® by becoming a Young Eagles volunteer today!
*Please pre-register for this event at YEDay.Org. A waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian is required.
2 - TAKE AN INTRODUCTORY LESSON
Take an introductory lesson with one of our local flight schools. Follow the underlined links to their websites:
Monadnock Aviation offers introductory flights and training in Piper Warrior and Cessna 172 aircraft. Both are excellent for primary flight training and cross-country flights.
Monadnock Choppers offers fixed wing and helicopter introductory flights and training. They offer instruction in a variety of aircraft including fixed gear, tail wheel and complex.
3 - TAKE AN EAGLE FLIGHT
You can take a flight with one of our chapter members in their aircraft. This is a not-cost to you program provided by the EAA and our chapter. You can register for an Eagle Flight here.
