Aviation Youth Camp - 2027

EAA Chapter 129 is looking forward to another exciting Aviation Youth Camp in 2027. The program gives young people an opportunity to explore aviation through hands-on activities, real aircraft, aviation professionals, and experiences designed to inspire curiosity and confidence.
Registration is expected to open in early spring 2027. Camp dates and additional registration details will be announced as planning is finalized.

What Campers Can Expect
Each Aviation Youth Camp is designed to introduce students to the many sides of aviation through a combination of classroom learning, hands-on activities, airport experiences, and interaction with aviation professionals and volunteers.
- Interactive classes covering aerodynamics, aircraft construction, and aviation weather
- Behind-the-scenes visits to aviation organizations such as the Prairie Aviation Museum
- Tours of airport facilities and aviation operations, subject to schedule and availability
- Hands-on flight simulation activities
- Opportunities to learn directly from pilots, aircraft builders, mechanics, and other aviation professionals
- An actual flight in an airplane through the EAA Young Eagles program, weather permitting
