Kitty Middleton, Wing Walker
Kitty Middleton performed her first public airshow at the Willow Springs Airport in Willow Springs, Missouri on Sunday, August 5th, 1951. In 2011 our chapter honored her by dedicating our annual fly-in to her memory. The Middleton family attended and brought family photo albums for the public to view. Chapter member Don Nevels has written two books about local aviation which feature Kitty Middleton and the influence that watching Kitty and her pilot perform in the Stearman had on him. Don's books are available for purchase from the chapter. All proceeds from the sale of Don's books support the Jerry Smith Scholarship fund.
