Chapter 67 News and Announcements

EAA

News, Announcements, and Information of Interest to Chapter 67 Members (and the "acro-curious").

The box will be open for practice this weekend, September 4-6. Flying hours will be 8:00 am - 7:00 pm on Saturday and Monday, and noon - 7:00 pm on Sunday.  Please let Jerry (jriedinger@perkinscoie.com) know which days you are coming so he can give a heads up to the new airport manager, Greg Becken.

Apple Turnover is coming up -  practice on September 8-9, registration the 9th, and contest flying September 10-11. The weather is forecast to be quite pleasant with high temps in the 70's - a nice change from the scorched Apple Cup!  Advanced and Unlimited pilots will be flying two Unknowns, and Intermediate pilots will have the option of flying either your own Free and one Unknown or two Unknowns - so no need to worry about getting that Free signed in advance.  We will be having our traditional Thursday evening welcome pizza dinner. The Awards Dinner will be held at Tequila's Mexican restaurant in Ephrata. It should be a fun weekend.

Save the Date: Our annual Holiday party will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, at Robin and Larry James' home in Bellevue. They have graciously relented to my begging to be our hosts again for a potluck dinner.  If you've been to their parties before, you know that this is not to be missed!

We have missed seeing all your smiling faces! Chapter 67 hosts a monthly Zoom call at 7:00 on the last Sunday of each month of 2021.  We can talk about upcoming flying events and just generally catch up with each other.  This meeting is for Chapter 67 members.  If you're not yet a member, please contact iacpresident67@gmail.com for an invitation to the Zoom session.

IAC now requires practice participants pass the contest Technical Inspection, which includes pilot, airplane, and parachute documentation and the condition of the airplane and 'chute.

Practice participants will also be required to sign the same waiver required for contest participation.

Visit the Chapter 67 Facebook Page, also a location for Chapter news.

The page will include not only Chapter 67 news, announcements, and information, but short descriptions (with internet links) about items of interest to aerobatic pilots and Chapter members.  Please send any aerobatic news, announcement, or information items that you think will interest chapter members to the webmeister for screening.
