IAC 67

Washington Chapter 67 of the International Aerobatics Club, IAC

Chapter 67 News and Announcements

Join us for a chapter meeting at Renton Airport at 1800, Friday, 4 October!

We'll be at the Boeing Employees Flying Association (BEFA), 840 W Perimeter Rd, Renton. Pizza and soft drinks will be available.

We'll discuss proposed 2025 events that will include:

  • A 2025 Holiday Party in January
  • A membership event (a dinner meeting?) in conjunction with the annual NW Aviation Conference and Trade Show at the Washington State Fairgrounds in Puyallup scheduled for 22-23 February, 2025
  • Judges School "second day", Saturday, 3 May 2025 (first day IAC online course)
  • Aerobatic Training Camp ("Acro Camp"), May 2025
  • Apple Cup, 6-7 June 2025
  • National Aerobatics Day, Saturday, 28 June 2025
  • A booth at the Arlington Skyfest in planning for 2025
  • Apple Turnover, 5-6 September, 2025

We now have an online ability to pay Chapter membership dues. Take a look at the "Join or Renew" page. You have the option to use either Stripe or PayPal to submit your dues with a credit card (or you can mail a check to the Treasurer). After we have a little more experience with online dues payment, we plan to expand it to include camp and contest fees.

Practice Weekends will be conducted in Ephrata and in the new Acro Practice Area at William R. Fairchild International Airport (KCLM, sometime erroneously called "Port Angeles"). Volunteers will be needed to serve as box monitors.

Practice participants are required to sign the same waiver required for contest participation.

IAC now requires practice participants perform the contest Technical Inspection, which includes pilot, airplane, parachute repack/inspection documentation review and an inspection of airplane and 'chute condition, under the observation of another member.

This page will include (in addition to Chapter 67 news, announcements, and information) short descriptions (with internet links) about items of interest to aerobatic pilots and Chapter members.  Please send any aerobatic news, announcement, or information items that you think will interest chapter members to the webmeister to be posted to this page.
