Dates are in coordination with Ephrata Airport (KEPH) management, the acro camp director, and judges school leader. If you know of prospective conflicts with other events, please let us know.

A request for suggestions to improve IAC 67 events will be mailed to IAC members. Please take a few minutes to tell us what would encourage you to come to judges school, camp, and contests as well as how we can improve event information dissemination and event execution.

We believe that moving Apple Turnover from its traditional post-Labor Day September weekend to late August will mitigate the risk of wildfire smoke cancelling contest flights. It's not much of a heat trade: AT25 enjoyed >100 degree days before the smoke shut down the contest.

Hertz Rent-a-Car will now deliver cars to the Ephrata Municipal Airport for pilots training and participating in IAC67 camp and contests! Hertz and the Port of Ephrata have executed an agreement that enables Hertz to park a reserved car at the Ephrata Terminal and allow the renting pilot to leave the car at the Terminal at the completion of the rental. There will be a "drop box" (or some similar method to deposit keys): no drive to Moses Lake to either pick up or return the car. Details on picking up keys at the Terminal are still in coordination.

You can pay your Chapter membership dues online! Visit the "Join or Renew" page. Use Stripe to submit your dues with a credit card (or you can mail a check to the Treasurer).

Online payment has been expanded to include fees for contests, camp, hangar rent, and for donations to the chapter.

Chapter 67 has been granted a Long Term Waiver for the Ephrata Municipal Airport (KEPH) aerobatic “box”. The first use of the Long Term Waiver was to extend the practice day period before Apple Cup 2025. Practice days before Apple Cup and Apple Turnover 2026 contests will be scheduled! Please e-mail mamontb@comcast.net if you want to attend.

Practice day participants are required to sign the same waiver required for contest participation, complete a technical inspection (see below), and arrange for a “box monitor”.

IAC now requires practice participants complete the contest Technical Inspection, which includes pilot, airplane, parachute repack/inspection documentation review and an inspection of airplane and 'chute condition, under the observation of another member.

Please send any aerobatic news, announcement, or information items that you think will interest chapter members to the webmeister to be posted to this page.
