Welcome to IAC67 and Washington Aerobatics!
IAC67, or IAC Chapter 67, is the Washington chapter of the International Aerobatics Club, IAC.
IAC 67 promotes recreational aerobatics and participation in aerobatic contests, bringing together "acro" pilots from Washington, Canada, Oregon, and California. IAC Chapter 67 provides pilots interested in recreational and competition aerobatics with encouragement, aerobatics training and aerobatics information referrals, coaching, and opportunities to participate in regional aerobatic contests.
If you've ever wondered about what Alan Cassidy, one of the leaders of the sport of aerobatics, called "pure flying", we can help get you started. Visit the "Intro to Acro" and "Getting Started" pages for ideas, information, and inspiration.
If you're already an aerobatics pilot but new to Washington, welcome again! We sponsor three regional contests annually. Our members attend aerobatics contests hosted by IAC chapters in Oregon (Chapter 77) and California (Chapters 26, 36, and 38). The Contests pages describe the IAC67-sponsored Apple Cup, Apple Turnover, and the Canadian-American ("Can-Am") contests and provide links to other contests in the western U.S.
