Whether you’re building your first airplane, just earned your certificate, or simply love being around aviation, you’ll find a community here that shares your passion.

As part of the Experimental Aircraft Association, Chapter 84 brings together aviators, builders, and dreamers who believe aviation is best experienced hands-on — one project, one flight, and one story at a time.

What We’re About

At Harvey Field’s Hangar 15, you’ll find the heart of our chapter: a space where people come together to share skills, stories, and the spirit of flight. Our members include pilots, students, mechanics, and enthusiasts of every background — all united by curiosity and craftsmanship.

We host monthly meetings featuring guest speakers, local aviation updates, and hangar projects in progress. You’ll often find members working side by side on aircraft restorations or new builds, sharing ideas and learning from each other. On weekends, you might see a few planes taxiing out for a fly-out or a quick hop to a nearby airport café.

Whether you’re just starting your aviation journey or have thousands of hours, you’ll feel at home here.

Inspiring the Next Generation

Through our Young Eagles program, Chapter 84 helps kids and teens experience flight — many for the very first time. From their first time sitting in the cockpit to learning about how airplanes are built, these moments spark a lifelong interest in aviation.

If you’re 17 or younger, you can become an EAA Student Member and connect with a network of future aviators, engineers, and builders. Many of our members started their journey this way — with one flight that changed everything.
