Whether you fly, build, restore or simply enjoy airplanes and aviation, you are welcome to attend our events and join our Chapter.
We are a group of aviation enthusiasts, aircraft builders, and pilots who get together with like minded people to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety, serve the local aviation community and have a lot of fun doing so. Please come to our next meeting or event as our guest.
EAA Chapter 84 is based at Harvey Field (S43), about half a mile south of the town of Snohomish, WA. General membership meetings are normally held every second Tuesday in Harvey Field’s Hangar 15. Meetings are now held both in-person and via Zoom; contact the President for a Zoom link.

JUNE 9TH, 2026 MEMBER MEETING - COME JOIN US FOR A BURGER BURN!
The June EAA Chapter 84 Chapter meeting will be held in-person on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026. We will have a Burger Burn hour at Hangar 15 starting at 5:30. The Chapter Meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. with the presentation starting around 7:00-7:15 p.m.
June Speaker: This month we’re planning to do something a little different. Instead of a guest speaker, we’ll have a group discussion on getting to and enjoying Oshkosh AirVenture. Many of us have been to the show, but some haven’t and many have never flown their own airplane in. So the purpose of this discussion is simply to share tips, insights, and stories about AirVenture, allowing us all to learn from the experiences of others. This will be an open group discussion, so bring your questions and be ready to share your stories. Below is a list of potential topics to get us started, and Steve Shumate will help facilitate this discussion. This should be a fun and insightful evening!

Jeff was Lockheed's Beam Transfer Assy Certified Principal Engineer during integration and ground testing, then followed the program to Edwards AFB, McConnell AFB and back to Edwards AFB for the successful shoot-downs.
Jeff's field support after delivery included twice resetting the Turret Secondary Mirror for optimal performance and later exchanging several large optics damaged by the initial high energy laser propagation.
