Jerry A. Zerbe
7/29/1930 - 7/17/2013
The Zerbe Educational Fund was established in the memory of long time Chapter 77 member Jerry Zerbe, after he died in a flight training incident. He was a lifelong educator, pilot, flight instructor, aircraft builder/restorer, with a “can do” attitude that made him the backbone of Chapter 77 for many years. He looked for the best in everyone he came into contact with and brought out the best in everyone he touched. Jerry’s passion for education and flying made it seem appropriate that he should be honored with a fund that provided monies for aircraft and flight education. To date, the fund has supported two ground school classes, each with more than 25 potential pilots. The fund has also helped with the cost of a flight simulator for our chapter room.
