Jerry A. Zerbe

The Zerbe Educational Fund was established in the memory of long time Chapter 77 member Jerry Zerbe, after he died in a flight training incident. He was a lifelong educator, pilot, flight instructor, aircraft builder/restorer, with a “can do” attitude that made him the backbone of Chapter 77 for many years. He looked for the best in everyone he came in contact with and brought out the best in everyone he touched. Jerry’s passion for education and flying made it appropriate that he should be honored with a fund that provided monies for aircraft and flight education. To date, the fund has supported ground school classes, with more than 25 potential pilots in each class and several pilot "wanabes" at aero summer camp in Oshkosh. The fund has also provided a flight simulator for our chapter room.
