His presentation, I think, will be very interesting, informative and educational.
Red Star Rising:  Soviet Triumphs, Tragedies, and Firsts in Space - The Soviet Union began the Space Race with the launch of Sputnik and continued the race to the moon with an astounding number of record setting firsts in space.  During this interactive presentation we’ll look at the scientific, political, and human factors aspects of the Soviet space program and the basis of the successes and failures.
Dr. Kenneth Stein is an avid world traveler and speaker.   Following a 23 year career in the US Army, Ken spent 21 years working with the Boeing Company at the Kennedy Space Center.  During his time at KSC he developed his interest in the manned space programs of the United States and of the Soviet Union.  Ken’s presentations focus on the significant events and people who took the first dynamic steps to leave our planet with a combination of facts, stories, and trivia.  In addition Ken has developed a series of presentations on historically significant locations and events based on his travels.  His interactive presentations are both educational and fun.  He has a Doctorate in Education from Nova Southeastern University, a Masters from Western Kentucky University, and a BS from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  Ken is a commercial pilot of airplanes, helicopters, and seaplanes; a Master Diver; author; and recipient of the NASA Silver Snoopy Award.   He and his wife Noreen have visited 139 countries (as of 2019) primarily on cruise ships.
