Loss of local Hero Susan Wolber.
Saturday November 22nd, during a Civil Air Patrol training mission over Storm Mountain, we lost two local pilots, Susan Wolber and Jay Rhoten. Randall Settergren was also on board as co-pilot and was severely injured. This is a terrible loss to the aviation community. Susan flew Young Eagles for the Loveland chapter as well as many other EAA chapters in Northern Colorado. She also flew Angle Flights and participated in local Woman in
Aviation events. Susan was especially an inspiration to young woman aviators. She just loved sharing her passion in aviation with the next generation. She was a Flight Instructor and helped teach several members in the area, with a soft spot for Bonanzas and C182s.
I know many of our members have close friendships with the affected families and friends, I am deeply saddened for everyone's loss. Please reach out to your friends in the community and help heal this tragedy. See the link below for Susan's obituary and information on here memorial service.
