EAA Chapter 515

Fort Collins / Loveland, CO

Welcome to EAA Chapter 515

Whether you fly, build, restore or simply enjoy airplanes and aviation, you are welcome to attend our events and join our chapter. We are a group of aviation enthusiasts, aircraft builders, and pilots who get together with like minded people to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety, serve the local aviation community and have a lot of fun doing so. Unless otherwise posted below our monthly meetings are the first Tuesday of each month @6:30 pm in the Jet Center Hanger at the Northern Colorado Regional Airport in Loveland, CO.  Please come to our next meeting or event as our guest.

For more information on our chapter, please contact our president via the contact us page or visit us on Facebook.

News and Events

Our next meeting:  will be held Tuesday, September 7th, at the Jet Center main hanger at the Northern Colorado Regional Airport.  This month we have two members presenting on local projects:

  • Cory Jones is going to discuss getting his airworthiness certificate on his beautiful Rans S21 and update how the Phase 1 checklist is progressing.
  • Jerry Meddick is going to show us a modified Skybolt build in progress.  Jerry purchased the plans in 1993 and has since acquired a 300hp radial Jacobs engine.  It is a wonderful build, with a custom designed wooden turtledeck.  He has a dedicated website and 6,000 hours into the build.  We will do a short hangar walk to go see the progress.

Thank you so much to all the Thunderbird’s air show volunteers! depending on the final numbers we should be able to sponsor another student pilot in 2026.

New round of T-Shirts will be available Tuesday for $20, these are red in color and have our updated logo.

Upcoming events:

  • IMC club Wednesday October 15
  • November 4th meeting, Tim Jackson presentation on "Where is my flying car?"

Thank you,

Adam Woodward
