EAA Chapter 41 is proud to participate in the Young Eagles Program. Founded in 1992, the Young Eagles program is dedicated to giving youth ages 8–17 an opportunity to go flying in a general aviation airplane. These flights are offered free of charge and are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers.
It’s the only program of its kind, with the sole mission to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation.
Today, the Young Eagles program has flown over 2 million kids.

EAA Chapter 41 hosts Young Eagles events throughout the warmer months. Flights are approximately 10-20 minutes long. A parent or guardian’s permission as well as a completed waiver form are required in order for the youth to participate. Pre-registration is strongly recommended, but walk-ins may be accommodated depending upon pilot and aircraft availability. All flying activities are weather-dependent. We encourage calling ahead if the weather looks “iffy” the day of the event. Online registration is available at www.youngeaglesday.org.
After their flight, Young Eagles receive a certificate and have their names entered in EAA’s “World’s Largest Logbook.” They also gain access to a complimentary EAA student membership and educational opportunities such as a free online ground school course.
EAA41’s planned Young Eagles Days for 2024 are:
- Saturday, April 27
- Saturday, May 18
- Saturday, June 22
- Tuesday, July 16 (evening)
- Saturday, August 24
