Whether you're a seasoned captain, a first-time builder, a student curious about STEM, or simply someone who loves the sound of a radial engine, you have a seat at our table. No gatekeeping, no "insiders-only" culture—just a group of neighbors sharing the joy of flight and supporting one another's goals.

📢 Chapter Announcements & Upcoming Events
- August Chapter Gathering Cancelled — The chapter is taking a summer break; there will be no gathering in August.
- August Fly-Out (August 8) — 11:00 AM at the Jet Room Restaurant at KMSN. All members are invited and encouraged to attend!
- September Gathering: Ray Scholarship Info Session (September 5) — 11:30 AM. This gathering will focus entirely on the Ray Scholarship, including scholarship criteria, the application process, interview expectations, and how to build a strong candidacy. The application window is opening early this year.
- Girls in Aviation Day (September 19) — Quad Cities International Airport. An event aimed at introducing girls to aviation career paths. Volunteers needed! Members can sign up to represent the chapter via the Girls in Aviation signup link.
- Special Young Eagles Rally (September 26) — A dedicated rally specifically for the Girls in Aviation Day participants. Pilots are needed—please reach out to the chapter if you are able to fly for this event.

- AirVenture Stories & Photos Wanted — Did you attend AirVenture? The chapter wants to see your photos and hear your stories. Please submit them to be shared with the community.

Young Eagles
The EAA Young Eagles program was launched in 1992 to give interested young people, ages 8 - 17, an opportunity to go flying in a general aviation airplane. These flights are offered free of charge and are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers and our chapter pilots. Since 1992, more than 2.5 million Young Eagles have enjoyed a flight through the program.

"Fly the scenario before you take flight." We simulate high-stakes flying mental workloads in a safe, collaborative environment.
