EAA Chapter 1236

Weirsdale, FL- Loves Landing (97FL)

Young Eagles

EAA Young EaglesFounded in 1992, the Young Eagles program is dedicated to giving youth ages 8–17, an opportunity to go flying in a general aviation airplane. These flights are offered free of charge and are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers.

It’s the only program of its kind, with the sole mission to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation.

Today, the Young Eagles program has flown over 2 million kids.

For more information from EAA headquarters about the Young Eagles program, visit www.youngeagles.org

Please Note: The Chapter’s March 8th meeting will be a PANCAKE BREAKFAST, with an added twist. Right after our pancakes, we will be hosting the Young Eagles Flying Event so members can see lasting memories being made. Details to follow.

Important Message to Current Young Eagles Pilots/Ground Volunteers. . .and to Wanna be Pilots/Ground Volunteers From Bob Kircher, Chapter 1236 Young Eagles Coordinator: I'm pleased to announce that we have scheduled our second Young Eagles Rally on March 8th, 2025 immediately after our meeting that same day. Our last Young Eagles Rally went well and we wanted to conduct another rally while it's still relatively cool weather and also give our larger chapter membership the opportunity to observe a rally conveniently on a meeting day. I hope you might be interested in flying one or more Young Eagles that day in support of the program. The system that registers the youth, as well as scheduling of Pilots and Ground Volunteers has changed as of this month. The old website (youngeaglesday.org) will be decommissioned shortly. As a result, all volunteers must once again sign up in order to participate. Please go to the new website eaachapters.org and click on the SIGN UP button at the bottom. Once you complete the short SIGN UP process we can then invite you as volunteer for the March 8th rally. The username in this new system is your email address and the password that is used will be the same password from your eaa.org credentials. If you have any questions or problems getting signed up in the new system, please feel free to contact me. We hope to see you at the rally and get a chance to volunteer in Young Eagles.

Warm Regards,

Bob Kircher 407-276-4055
