Welcome pilots of all skill levels
to Sacramento’s VMC CLUB sponsored by EAA Vintage Chapter 25.
What is a VMC Club?
VMC (Visual Meteorlogical Conditions) Club is for pilots of all skill levels, including students, who want to improve their proficiency. The program provides organized “hangar flying” focused on building proficiency for pilots who fly primarily under visual flight rules and under VMC. During the monthly meetings pilots can network and share knowledge and experiences. The meetings use real-world scenarios to engage members, and allow a free exchange of information that improves awareness and skills. The intent is to create a community of pilots willing to share information, provide recognition, foster communications, promote safety, and build proficiency. You do not have to be an EAA member to attend.

In General:
Our VMC Club offers monthly meetings in which pilots can network and share knowledge and experience.
The meetings use real-world scenarios to engage members, and allow a free exchange of information that improves awareness and skills. The intent is to create a community of pilots willing to share information, provide recognition, foster communications, promote safety, and build proficiency.
The VMC Club monthly programming is developed and produced by EAA, but it does not use a lecture or presentation format. Instead, an actual scenario is presented and is followed by a group discussion – so audience participation is encouraged! Since everyone has a different experience level and different airplane capabilities, we can all benefit from the discussion.
IMC Club:
While our chapter does not currently offer an IMC club at this time, we do have resources that can be provided to any interested or rusty IFR pilots. We have a multitude of flight and technical advisors who are intimately aware with IFR flight and regulations.
We also offer free access to the "IFR: The Missing Lessons" course for those who are interested. The course is great for any IFR-rated pilots who could use some extra insight on instrument flying, or any current IFR students who want some more information on becoming a better IFR pilot.
If interested, please send an email to Stan Lawrence as listed on the Contact Us page.
